The miner has optimizations for old and new AMD and Intel processors, so be sure to try the binary file designed for your processor for the best results or feel free to experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An alternative that is often useful in terms of processor mining is <!--noindex--><noindex><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/crypto-mining.blog\/LINKURL\/aHR0cHM6Ly9jcnlwdG8tbWluaW5nLmNsdWIvZW4vc29mdHdhcmUvZG93bmxvYWQtc3JibWluZXItbXVsdGktMC00LTQtc3VwcG9ydC1ldGhhc2gtYW5kLXVicWhhc2gv\"  target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SRBMiner-MULTI 0.4.4<\/a><\/noindex><!--\/noindex-->, which supports fewer processor mining algorithms, but some of them can be more optimized compared to cpuminer-opt, and also has support for RandomX algorithms ( mainly aimed at AMD Ryzen CPU miners). SRBMiner-MULTI, however, is also a closed source miner with a built-in development fee, even if it is proven and trustworthy, some people still prefer to use open source software only for cryptography and not only for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Please note miners are often marked as malware by antivirus programs. This is not so, they are marked simply because they are cryptocurrency miners. If you do not trust the software, do not use it!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"markdown-body\">\n<p><strong>Changes to solo mining:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>segwit is supported by getblocktemplate,<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>longpolling is not working and is disabled,<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Periodic Report log is output,<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>New Block log includes TTF estimates,<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Stratum thread no longer created when using getwork or GBT.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fixed BUG log mining sha256d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that cpuminer-opt is available as a ready-made binary file for Windows only, its source code is available to everyone, no developer fees and is supported only by donations, so if you can pay several coins for free to my friendly software developer: JayDDee (joblo) at Bitcointalk at the following Bitcoin address: 12tdvfF7KmAsihBXQXynT6E6th2c2pByTT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>cpuminer-opt<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>cpuminer-opt is a fork of cpuminer-multi by TPruvot with optimizations imported from other miners developped by lucas Jones, djm34, Wolf0, pooler, Jeff garzik, ig0tik3d, elmad, palmd, and Optiminer, with additional optimizations by Jay D Dee.<\/p>\n<p>All of the code is believed to be open and free. If anyone has a claim to any of it post your case in the cpuminer-opt Bitcoin Talk forum or by email.<\/p>\n<p>Miner programs are often flagged as malware by antivirus programs. This is a false positive, they are flagged simply because they are cryptocurrency miners. The source code is open for anyone to inspect. If you don&#8217;t trust the software, don&#8217;t use it.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>A x86_64 architecture CPU with a minimum of SSE2 support. This includes Intel Core2 and newer and AMD equivalents. Further optimizations are available on some algoritms for CPUs with AES, AVX, AVX2, SHA, AVX512 and VAES.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Older CPUs are supported by cpuminer-multi by TPruvot but at reduced performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ARM and Aarch64 CPUs are not supported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>64 bit Linux or Windows OS. Ubuntu and Fedora based distributions, including Mint and Centos, are known to work and have all dependencies in their repositories. Others may work but may require more effort. Older versions such as Centos 6 don&#8217;t work due to missing features. 64 bit Windows OS is supported with mingw_w64 and msys or pre-built binaries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>MacOS, OSx and Android are not supported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Stratum pool supporting stratum+tcp:\/\/ or stratum+ssl:\/\/ protocols or RPC getwork using http:\/\/ or https:\/\/. supported, use another miner.<\/p>\n<p>Neoscrypt crashes on Windows, use legacy version.<\/p>\n<p>AMD CPUs older than Piledriver, including Athlon x2 and Phenom II x4, are not supported by cpuminer-opt due to an incompatible implementation of SSE2 on these CPUs. Some algos may crash the miner with an invalid instruction. Users are recommended to use an unoptimized miner such as cpuminer-multi.<\/p>\n<p>cpuminer-opt does not work mining Decred algo at Nicehash and produces only &#8220;invalid extranonce2 size&#8221;
