Mike Novogratz: Rich pensioners will become even richer if they buy bitcoins
Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz launched two bitcoin funds aimed at a generation of retirees born during the American and European baby boomers in 1946 – 1964.
Novogratz says these older people are trying to stay away from a speculative asset class like Bitcoin, and he wants to make a difference with his new investment products.
According to a survey by CoinRadar, nearly 70% of Americans surveyed over 55 do not own bitcoins and do not plan to buy them.
While the generation of the 2000s is generally positive about digital assets, their wealth is 12 times less than the above-mentioned baby boomers, among whom there are many rich people.
Novogratz says he will name at least 20 people who “made money outside cryptocurrencies but are now in cryptocurrencies.”
Wall Street veteran is also confident that as early as 2020, traditional financial companies will allow their customers to invest in cryptocurrencies.
